Dr. Aisha Abushelaibi is Professor of Food safety at UAE University and also Assistant Dean for Students Affairs. She received her graduation in Agricultural Sciences from UAE University and completed her post graduation in Food Microbiology from Colorado State University. She later did her PhD from Louisiana State University in food safety.
She developed and teaches courses in food microbiology, food safety, plant sanitation and food law. Dr. Aisha serves as a member of several committees in food safety in UAE and regional countries. She is supervising several graduate students in U.A.E in area of food safety and food law and is involved in the development of food safety laboratory in Louisiana State University. Dr. Abushelaibi is the facilitator for the long distance learning program in food law offered jointly with Michigan State University. She is a member of many international scientific organizations and a volunteer in several international scientific organizations. She has a lot of publication in the area of food microbiology and food safety.
