Beth Ann Crozier-Dodson, Ph.D. , is the Supervisor and Research Coordinator of the BSL Level 2 Food Microbiology Laboratories at Kansas State University's (KSU) Food Safety and Security Center in the Department of Animal Science & Industry. Dr. Crozier-Dodson is also the Assistant Director of the KSU International Food Microbiology Rapid and Automated Methods Workshop, where for 14 years she has been instrumental in the planning and execution of the world-recognized conference founded by Dr. Daniel Y. C. Fung in 1980. She is an international consultant on food safety issues for academia, as well as for the food and diagnostic kit industries, and is an invited speaker on the topic of ‘Rapid Methods’ and food safety globally.
Dr. Crozier-Dodson is the Director of the Chinese workshop on Rapid Methods in Food Microbiology held in Shanghai, China (odd years) and the same workshop in Hyderabad, India (yearly). Dr. Crozier-Dodson has designed and taught microbiology workshops to promote rapid method technology in the contiguous United States, Australia, China, Hawaii, India, Mexico, Norway, and at U.S. military laboratories and division locations. She is a member of numerous professional and honor societies and has received a USDA Commendation for Contribution to Public Health for her work with the Rapid Methods Workshop.
