Dr. Jochen P. Zoller, President of Intertek’s Global Food Service division, joined the Intertek team back in May 2006. Dr. Zoller previously was the founding Managing Director of TÜV Vitacert GmbH, which was established in 1999 as an initiative of TÜV Süd AG - providing certification, inspection and testing services for food and animal feed producers.
Dr. Zoller has a Ph.D. in chemistry from the Technical University of Munich and an MBA from Open University Business School of Great Britain. He has also studied extensively and employed as a member of the MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) team in the USA and at Oxford University in UK. Dr. Zoller’s mission at Intertek is to not only provide the one-stop-shop the industry seeks, but also establish a trusted partnership with all clients served - consistently adding value and enabling their competitive advantages in the industry. Dr. Zoller believes in the essential importance of 100% food traceability paired simultaneously with consistent quality management.

In addition to Dr. Zoller’s expertise in food surveillance, he has a significantly strong scientific background in the field of chemistry with respect to renewable resources. He has made numerous contributions to various academic publications and has been published in leading chemical journals across the globe.
