As Global director of research and development, Mr. George Tice is responsible for overseeing research, new product development and validation programs for DuPont Qualicon, based in Wilmington, Delaware. Previously, Mr. Tice had served as project manager for DuPont Qualicon, ensuring successful commercialization of new products and applications.
Mr. Tice began working at DuPont in 1984 for the Medical Products Division business, where he gained international business experience with manufacturing transfer, sales and technical support for the Genesis 2000 DNA sequencer. In 1992, he joined DuPont Qualicon and became actively involved in food safety product development. During that time, he led several teams that introduced technological “firsts,” including the PCR-based BAX® detection system.
A graduate of Rutgers University, Mr. Tice has authored numerous articles published in the the Journal of AOAC, the Journal of Food Science and more. He holds several patents in the field of food safety and has been recognized as a Hero of Chemistry by the American Chemical Society. He resides in southern New Jersey.
