Seventh Dubai International Food Safety Conference and IAFP's First Middle East Symposium on Food Safety

The Seventh Dubai International Food Safety Conference and IAFP's First Middle East Symposium on Food Safety will be held from the 21st to the 23rd of February, 2012 at the Dubai Convention and Exhibition Centre.

This conference is organized by the Food Control Department of Dubai Municipality and the International Association for Food Protection and is supported by the Ministry of Environment and Water in UAE, International Association for Food Protection, Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority and UAE University.

This is the first IAFP symposium in the Middle East. The International Association for Food Protection (IAFP) represents a broad range of members with a singular focus — protecting the global food supply. IAFP was founded in 1911, Wisconsin by 35 men from 3 different countries. Today IAFP members represent 50 different countries spreading knowledge and information about food safety practices. Various workshops, technical sessions, and poster presentations during the conference will feature more than 100 presenters from all across the globe. The programs are designed to suit the food industry, regulatory authorities and the students who are working in the field of food safety or interested in it.

1250 delegates attended the conference in 2011, a number that has been increasing each year. The growing number of delegates clearly indicates the interest the conference has been able to generate and we are sure that the programs will help all those involved in the development, implementation and maintenance of food safety programs.
